GAA Allstar Alan Brogan triumphs against Malcolm O’Kelly in eircom’s Xbox playoff!
Celebrations in Eircom Broadband Week continued last night in a celebrity head-to-head Xbox Pro Soccer Evolution 'game off' which saw GAA All Star Alan Brogan triumph with 2 to 0 against International Rugby Star Malcolm O'Kelly.
Television stars and glitterati flocked to the Xbox Live Centre. The event followed the kick off to Eircom Broadband Week, an online media briefing hosted by the beautiful UK presenter Jayne Middlemiss. Last nights 'game off' was in celebration of a brand new gaming package from eircom combining a Xbox 360 console with a 2MB broadband connection and one month free subscription to Xbox LIVE, a killer combination.
The crowd was jam packed as O'Kelly and Brogan battled it out on the Xbox field with Fair City and Tudors star Rachel Kavanagh squeezed between socialite Sophie Leniston, Channel 6 Presenter Jenny Buckley, and Italian fashionista Virginia Macari. O'Kelly's Leinster Rugby team-mate Jamie Heaslip was sideline accompanied he glamorous girlfriend cheering along with the raucous crowd as eircom's Pro Soccer Evolution match came to a close. Even Dublin super group Star Little Thing showed up for the match!
Dashing entrepreneur Marcus Sweeney arrived with a dead-ringer for his ex-fiancée model Katy French. An Xbox fanatic, Sweeney insisted the new 5 foot 8 inch blond bombshell on his arm was 'just a close friend' but many onlookers might contest, as the two were seen cuddling in the corner before dashing off as the eircom event concluded.
Eircom's Xbox alignment offers gaming fans the opportunity to enjoy eircom's XBOX console product on eircom's 'Always on for Entertainment' portal on eircom.net. For more information on this please contact dossiter@eircom.net
