People's Market marches to a tribal beat for Spring Summer 09

London street style brand, People's Market, brainchild of fashion legend Dexter Wong, delves into the African wilds for inspiration this Spring Summer 09. This season, Peoples Market has created a mouth watering collection adorned with safari animals and ethnic patterns, presented in luscious lightweight fabrics and on trend cuts.

This season's colour palette of burnt out yellows and deep reds evokes the wildlife of the African Serengeti, from galloping zebras and sprinting antelopes to strutting rams and grazing giraffes. These fashion forward graphics feature heavily alongside tribal Masai and Zulu inspired patterns. Stunning silks, jersey, chiffon, ultra fine knit wool and crepes fabrics define the collection.

Key shapes for Spring Summer 09 include 'cookie-cutter' 50's style dresses, a-line maxi's, super short mini-dresses and sheer blouses. Acute attention to detail is visible throughout with sequins, ruche-ruffles and embellishment adding girly glamour to this earthy collection.
